Aurora Fossil Club — 400 Main St., P.O. Box 352, Aurora, NC 27806-0352. This club is based out of the Aurora Fossil Museum. Despite its membership being limited to 50 (only 15 can be from out-of-state), its meetings are open to all. The AFC provides information and guidance to all interested parties on collecting and identifying the Lee Creek fauna.

Calvert Marine Museum Fossil Club — P.O. Box 97, Solomons, MD 20688. The club meets quarterly at the Calvert Marine Museum in Solomons, MD. The quarterly newsletter, The Ecphora, provides information on field trips and topics of interest to fossil collectors in the Chesapeake Bay Region, with an emphasis on Miocene fossils of the Mid-Atlantic states.

East Coast Fossil Club — 3266 Sunnyside School Rd.; Fayetteville, NC 28301-6911. Established in 2000. The ECFC's quarterly newsletter, Remains, includes information about future collecting trips.

Delaware Valley Paleontological Society — P.O. Box 686, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Established in 1978, the DVPS meets monthly at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia, has a monthly newsletter and has a longtime interest in Lee Creek. It irregularly publishes the Mosasaur which features papers on paleo research primarily from east coast.

Grand Strand Fossil Club — 519 7th Avenue South, Surfside Beach, SC 29575. Meets monthly with bi-monthly newsletter. Usually collects the Lee Creek fauna whenever possible.

Maryland Geological Society — 8052 Kavanagh Road, Baltimore, MD 21222. Meets every other month in Bowie, Maryland. Their quarterly newsletter, the Rostrum is rich in information on Cenozoic sharks of the Middle Atlantic.

Friends of the University of Michigan Museum of Paleontology — Meets the first Friday of every month at 7:30 PM in the Exhibit Museum building, 1109 Geddes Ave., Room 1536. Visits Aurora when possible.

New Jersey Paleontological Society — 776 Asbury Street, New Milford, NJ 07646. Meets monthly in Paramus, New Jersey. Their award winning newsletter, the Paleontograph often contains articles on Lee Creek. The club has a long tradition of visiting this Aurora.

New York Paleontological Society — P.O. Box 287, Planetarium Stn, 127 West 83rd Street, New York, NY 10024. Meets monthly at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, monthly newsletter.

North Carolina Fossil Club — P.O. Box 13075; Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. The NCFC has a great interest in the Lee Creek fauna and has published Neogene Fossils of North Carolina. Their newsletter, Janus, carries articles on this and other sites within the state.

Tampa Bay Fossil Club — c/o Michael Searle, P O Box 673, Palm Harbor, FL 34682. The TBFC is one of the premier clubs with a long active history that includes trips to Aurora. Meetings are held the first Saturday of each month (September - May) at 7:30 PM at the University of South Florida. The Tampa Bay Fossil Chronicles is published monthly (except summer).
