Teeth of male Bigeye thresher sharks (Alopias sp) are common finds; females are less well represented. The teeth tend to be a little more robust than teeth from the extant Bigeye, A. superciliosus. Interestingly, unlike the modern species, some of the smaller laterals and anteriors show hints of lateral cusplets. The enlarged image shows more detail on the small cusplets.
